SETTING THE STAGE

Mission: to provide a authentic legal nurse consulting environment to afford the hands-on experience necessary to support and accelerate the apprentice legal nurse consultant's smooth and successful transition from clinical practice into professional Legal Nurse Consulting practice.

Vision: to establish a nationally respected Legal Nurse Consulting Internship program that supports the advancement of the legal nurse consultant from apprenticeship to a level of professional confidence and independent practice.

What is a Legal Nurse Consulting Internship? The internship was designed specifically for new Legal Nurse Consultants who wanted to immerse themselves in a hands-on environment where they can safely put LNC theory into practice, where they can perfect their case reviews, marketing skills, case presentations and quality of their work products.

Why should I do an Internship? The internship provides a valuable experience that will enable you to acquire the confidence you need to contact, meet and work with your attorneys. It helps to short cut your learning curve. It helps you review your cases with faith in knowing you are providing quality LNC services that will ensure your own success.

Requirements of the Internship:
• A valid RN license in good standing.
• Certificate of Completion of a legal nurse consulting program.
There are many legal nurse consulting programs available through various avenues and providers. We would recommend AALNC which provides the professional certification for Legal Nurse Consultants with at least 2000 hours of practice www.aalnc.org and www.ce.ucf.edu/lnc which encourages it graduates to sit for the LNCC Certification upon achievement of certification requirements.
• A willingness to participate in the internship on site.
• A commitment to your professional success.
• A willingness to do what it takes to accomplish the task.

As you think, so shall you live.
