As an intern you will learn from one of the most seasoned LNCs in the nation. You will begin your practice in a real LNC office. You will see how to appropriately handle and prioritize a legal nurse consulting practice and case load.

Under the Tutelage of Expert Consultants, You will:

• Build true attorney relationships that are profitable for your attorney, his clients and your LNC practice.

You are Given an Exclusive Opportunity to Do:

Initial Case Reviews
• Determine what the attorney needs
• Appropriately process the case intake
• Screen a number of medical malpractice cases for merit
• Review and analyze the entire medical records
• Identify what is missing
• Identify necessary research to substantiate your opinion
• Identify Standards of Care integrating deviations to the medical issues
• Identify Causation issues, assess damages and any contributing factors that effect case outcome
• Identify any and all potential defendants
• Identify potential tampering and evaluate how it impacts the case
• Present a firm opinion
• Draft a brief case summary and/or letter of non-merit.

A Comprehensive Case Review:
• Develop Chronology of the Medical Sequence of Events
• Develop a corresponding Timeline
• Perform Internet Research and Procure case related Medical Research and Standard of Care
• Develop suggestion for case exhibits
• Present an oral report of in-depth case findings
• Use attorney appropriate software to develop final reports

Provide Litigation Support:
• Locate appropriate Testifying Experts and start your expert database
• Review a Deposition and correlate it to the case issues
• Formulate Deposition Questions
• Develop Interrogatories
• Develop Requests for Production
• Draft Settlement package
• Prepare Mediation presentation

Experience Real World LNC Practice:
• Work in an Independent Legal Nurse Consultant's office, see day-to-day operations and real-life LNC situations
